How Toy Story 3 Should Have Ended

This is random but I love the HISHE series and recently discovered this. I don't remember anyone posting this and I thought it was pretty funny, so enjoy!

Small Fry - Toy Story Short

Everyone’s favorite clan of pint-sized playthings is back in action—only this time, they have to contend with some feisty fast-food toys in Pixar’s latest short, Small Fry. Announced at the D23 Expo this past August, Small Fry is the first Toy Story short to come out of Pixar Canada, and it will premiere before The Muppets, which hits theaters Thanksgiving weekend.

In the Toy Story friends’ latest adventure, Bonnie accidently leaves Buzz Lightyear at a fast-food restaurant, and a kids’ meal toy version of Buzz takes his place at her home. While Bonnie’s toys are stuck with the oh-so-annoying three-inch-tall Buzz impersonator, the real Buzz is trapped in the restaurant at a support group for discarded toys.

D23 recently caught up with Small Fry Director Angus MacLane and Producer Kim Adams at The Muppets premiere on November 12. “We all grew up with the Muppets, so I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Kim says about the short appearing before The Muppets. Angus shares the sentiment, adding, “I love the Muppets, and I feel that their sense of humor and the sensibility of the Toy Story universe is very similar, so it’s a real treat to have it attached.”

Aside from the opportunity to work with the talented Toy Story cast—”It was daunting to revisit that old universe and to work with the original players—Tom [Hanks], Tim [Allen], and the gang,” says Angus—the filmmakers were especially excited to work with actress Jane Lynch, who voices the cerulean-haired mermaid who serves as the discarded toys’ psychotherapy group leader. “Jane Lynch is such a wonderful comedic actress,” Angus muses. “It was a privilege and a joy to work with her.”

Take a look at the clip—which first premiered during the D23 Expo—for a fun preview of Small Fry. And be sure to check out the full-length version at the start of The Muppets, in theaters November 23.

A/N: The Muppets comes out in the UK on February 17, 2012 (sorry!)

Give a little love, huh?

Winners will be announced on January 11th!

I'm writing something longer than a ficlet! Alert the media! :O

Title: The First Date
Chapter: 1
Rating: K
Pairings: Tow Mater/Holley Shiftwell with a pinch of Lightning/Sally
Warnings: Spoilers for Cars 2. Shameless fluff.
Summary: He was honest. Heartfelt. Simple. And she had to wonder if things could always be that way.

He looked more like a toy car trying to get adopted.

The animated films eligible for the 2011 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature have officially been announced, and I wrote an article with how I think it's gonna turn out:

It's Oscar Predictions Time!

What five from the list do you think will be selected? What do you think will win? What do you think SHOULD win?

Cars 2 & Cars Land News

Disney•Pixar’s fast-action summer hit “Cars 2” comes home on Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray 3D (a first for a Pixar film), Movie Download and DVD today. One of the great bonus features on the 5-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack is a feature called “The Nuts and Bolts of ‘Cars Land,’” a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the creation of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park with prolific Pixar voice talent John Ratzenberger.

Cars Land will open in Summer 2012!

A/N: Hopefully (eventually) it will be on YouTube. If you find it, feel free to post a link in the comments!

Also, who has seen Cars 2? I haven't yet, but will be renting it in the next few weeks

John Lasseter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today!
